Because my pants are grumpy, why else? Actually, I just feel sarcasm's the easiest way to make the answers humorous. But I'm not grumpy; my friend [info]xarr just gave me his old guitar. We're going to restring it on Sunday, because the current strings are old and I'm left-handed.

Yeah, I know how it goes when my pants get in one of those moods. I prefer sillypants myself.

Acoustic or electric? I tried to teach myself to play a little guitar a while back....I could play a few chords, but that's as far as I got. And I hate having to keep my fingernails that short.

Do you have your own guitar? Mine is acoustic, and unfortunately it's not really made to be reversible. I'm going to see if I can drill three of the grooves on the nut to fit thicker strings.

I probably won't get very good at playing, since I can't type without looking. But my friend has become a near virtuoso in less than a year. And he was a ladies' to begin with. I hate him. ; )

He let me have this guitar because he's replaced it with a much nicer one inlaid with mother of pearl and stuff (he has too much money). It's also a bit smaller, which would be nice. I can barely get my arm over mine. These two have steel strings. He also just got one with vinyl strings from his brother. It's an old scuffed one that used to belong to a school, so I asked him if it would be possible for me to get one cheap like that, and that was when he said, "You can have my old one, as far as I'm concerned."

It's actually my mom's, but I sort of appropriated it. She never learned to play it much herself, so she was okay with me tinkering with it.

Don't say you won't get good! What sort of attitude is that? Anyway "three chords and the truth" is all you need, at least according to Bono....
